About Dr. Funk...

Education: Dr. Funk is a lifelong Washington resident. He graduated from
Washington Community High School. He attended Western Illinois University
where he graduated Cum Laude, majoring in Biology.  While attending WIU,
Dr. Funk was a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society and
a Dean’s List student.  He attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago,
Illinois. 

Awarded: Dr. Funk earned membership in ICO’s two highest honor societies: 
Beta Sigma Kappa and Tomb and Key.  He also received the Excellence in
Pediatrics Award in his final year of professional school. 

Professional Affliations: Dr. Funk’s professional affiliations include The American
Academy of Optometry, The American Optometric Association, and The Illinois
Optometric Association.  He has also served as an Examiner and Supervising
Examiner for The National Board of Examiners in Optometry.  The NBEO is
responsible for the licensing of newly graduated optometrists. 

Dr. Todd Funk, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Published: Dr. Funk has been published in The Review of Optometry in the area of Infiltrative Keratitis. 

Personal: His hobbies are working out, motorcycling, fishing and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.  He also enjoys sponsoring
our local High School Band and children’s sports through the Washington Recreation Association and Northern Tazewell
Recreation Association.  Dr. Funk resides in Washington with his son Gabriel.
